What exactly does ClearLot sell?

Lyophilised (freeze-dried) research peptides supplied in sealed vials for in-vitro laboratory research use only. Every batch is assigned its own lot number and is tested by an independent third-party laboratory before it is listed for sale.

What is a Certificate of Analysis (COA)?

A COA is the analytical report a testing laboratory issues for a specific batch of material. It records what the lab measured — the compound identified, its measured purity, the method used, and the date of the test — and it is tied to a lot number rather than to a product line in general.

How do I read a COA?

The parts that matter most:

• Compound — what the lab identified the material as.
• Lot number — this must match the number printed on your vial.
• Measured purity — the percentage of the sample the lab attributed to the target compound.
• Method — how it was measured (see below).
• Test date — when the analysis was run.
• Issuing laboratory and report number — who produced the report and the reference you can use to confirm it with them.

What do HPLC and MS mean?

HPLC (high-performance liquid chromatography) separates the components of a sample so the proportion of each can be measured — this is where a purity figure comes from. MS (mass spectrometry) measures molecular mass, which is used to confirm the material's identity. Used together, they address two different questions: is this the right compound, and how much of the sample is that compound.

What is a lot number and why does it matter?

A lot number identifies one specific production batch. It matters because purity is a property of a batch, not of a product name. A vendor claiming "our peptides test at 99%" is describing nothing verifiable. A report tied to lot CL-0000-X00 describes the exact vial in your hand.

How do I verify a report is genuine?

Every report we publish names the issuing laboratory and carries that laboratory's own report number. Where the lab offers a public verification page, we link to it directly from the certificate. You can also contact the laboratory with the report number and confirm it independently — we would rather you did.

Use the lot lookup to pull up the certificate for any lot number we publish.

What happens if a batch does not meet specification?

It is not listed. We publish the report before a batch goes on sale, so a batch that does not meet our threshold does not reach the catalogue in the first place.

Can I order right now?

Not yet. Online ordering has not launched. You can join the waitlist on any product page and we will email you when ordering opens.

Who can buy from ClearLot?

Sales are intended for qualified individuals and institutions purchasing for laboratory research purposes. You must be at least 21 years of age. By ordering you confirm that the material is for in-vitro research use and not for human or veterinary use.

Will you ship internationally?

Shipping destinations will be confirmed at launch. Research materials are subject to import rules that differ by country, and it is the buyer's responsibility to know whether an item may lawfully be imported to their destination.

How should I contact you about a specific lot?

Use the contact form and include the lot number. Questions about a published report are the ones we are most able to answer.

Shipping & handling

How is material packaged?

Exterior packaging is plain and unbranded. Nothing on the outside identifies the contents.

How should material be stored?

Store lyophilised material as indicated for the product type, keep it sealed and protected from light, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Follow your institution's own protocols for handling and storage.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and photographs of the packaging and the vial. Damaged or incorrect shipments are covered — see the Refund & Returns Policy.

Research use

Why does everything say "research use only"?

Because that is what these materials are sold for. They are not drugs, foods, cosmetics or dietary supplements. They have not been evaluated or approved by the FDA for human or veterinary use, and they are not supplied for that purpose.

Can you advise me on how to use a compound?

No. We do not provide dosing guidance, administration instructions, protocols for use in humans or animals, or any advice on physiological effects — by phone, email, chat or any other channel. This is not evasiveness; supplying that guidance would be inconsistent with what these products are and how they are sold.

Are your products FDA approved?

No. Statements on this site have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. ClearLot LLC is not a compounding pharmacy or an outsourcing facility as defined under sections 503A or 503B of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.

Returns & refunds

What is your refund policy in short?

Because these are sealed research materials whose integrity cannot be confirmed once they leave our control, we do not accept returns or issue refunds for change of mind. We do stand behind what we ship: if an order arrives damaged, incorrect, or does not match its published certificate, we will replace or refund it.

What if the material does not match the certificate?

Tell us. Send the lot number and your own analytical results, and we will review it against our retained records for that batch. If the material does not correspond to the published report, you will be refunded in full.
